Tesla owners are some of our most frequent PPF and coating customers. Here’s how we’d approach protecting a Tesla in Northern Virginia.

Why Teslas get protected early

Many owners protect a Tesla soon after delivery, before chips accumulate. Highway driving on I-66 or the Dulles Toll Road quickly chips the front bumper and hood. Inspect your paint at delivery and note any defects; correcting them before film or coating gives the best result.

Which size column applies

Our PPF and coating prices are set by vehicle size:

  • Model 3 — Car column
  • Model Y — Mid-size column (listed on our PPF page as an example)
  • Model S — Car column
  • Model X / Cybertruck — Full-size column

PPF options for a Tesla

All four LLumar PPF packages are available: Partial Front, Full Front, the Track Package and Full Body. A Model 3 prices in the Car column and a Model Y in the Mid-size column.

Popular add-ons for Teslas: door edges, door cups, rocker panels (rear-wheel spray), rear bumper loading ledge, and interior piano-black PPF. See our PPF page. See PPF starting prices

Ceramic coating over the rest

A common setup is Full Front PPF plus a Ceramic Pro coating on the remaining paint, wheels and glass. Ceramic Coating Over PPF is its own add-on. See Ceramic Pro packages and our ceramic coating vs PPF comparison. See ceramic coating starting prices

Tint for the glass roof

Large glass areas mean more cabin heat. LLumar window tint on side and rear glass helps; ask us about options for your model and Virginia law limits.

EV-specific care

A few EV notes:

Delivery-day checklist

Before the first long drive:

  1. Inspect paint in daylight.
  2. Note panel gaps and defects for Tesla service.
  3. Book PPF/coating before long highway trips.

Tesla owners from Chantilly and Centreville drive in regularly.
